Are you a man or a mouse? This is the adventure expedition of your life.
We will pick you up at your hotel at 10am and drive for about one and a half hours to our awesome quad centre close to Hekla volcano. This location is our favorite place for quad biking, combining many of the extremes of Iceland: wild nature, extreme weather, incredible scenery and really powerful machines. The Quad bike driving takes 3-4 hours all year round. In summer we take the bikes for longer trips for more extreme scenery, while winter adventures are more about driving in snow and forecasting the ever-changing weather. We guarantee that no matter the season or weather this will be a adrenaline pumping experience.
Our Quad bikes are nothing like other Quad bikes you have seen; these are modified Can-Am ATVs for Icelandic off-road conditions: snow battling and water crossings. This tour is no tame, closed-circuit drive in a controlled environment, rather a team effort to get to where we want to go, be it a steep hill to test our driving skills, one of Iceland's best hidden and most beautiful waterfalls, or an unbelievable view over the wild Icelandic Highlands.
We require that you are physically fit to complete this tour as the weather can change from stunning views to a crazy snow blizzard in a very short time and we simply need to help each other if someone gets stuck. You don't have to worry about navigation as our guides know the area like the back of their hands and are equipped with the best VHF radio and GPS navigational technology available.
The grape in the end of the hot dog is the unbelievable mountain steam-bath located at our base at the foot of the volcano Hekla. There is no better way to end an extreme tour like this than by relaxing in this natural mountain sauna with a beer or three. We will drop you off at your hotel, a restaurant or at another activity at about 8pm.
